Ok.....I have sussed it at last!  And it is not easy!  Do you have the adaptor lead that goes from your card reader to your computer?  If not, you need one.  If you do, pm or email me because as I said, it's not that simple, and I can take you through it step by step if you want.  I must say that the sound quality is VERY good and once you have sussed it it gets easier.  Here is the method in the easiest way that I can explain:

First you need to make sure your songs are in mp3 format.

Then put your card in the reader and attach the adaptor lead to your computer.

Go to where your songs are stored.

Highlight the song you want to put on your phone.  N.B: you cannot select a folder to transfer, I tried this and it won't work.  You have to select the songs individually.

Select 'copy this file' or right-click and 'copy'.

Copy to 'E: drive, music'.  It is important to make sure you copy to the 'music' folder, your songs won't play if you don't.

Take your mini SD card out of the reader and put it back into your phone.

Press the mp3 button on your phone.  It wil say 'no files on card' first of all, but don't worry!

Press 'options', then 'edit playlist'.  Your songs should be there (fingers crossed!).  You just select the songs you want to play et voila!

I hope this helps anyone who is having difficulties, I only sussed it out through trial and error, and it is a very long-winded process especially if you are not going to be using the mp3 facility that often.  GOOD LUCK!
