SX1 can support 1gb MMC cards, and from our preliminary testing, we have not found any problems so far.

I personally still use one of our 512mb cards with my SX1, but i will be upgrading myself next week to the new 1gb format for "testing" purposes, and to squeeze on another 15 albums or so on my phone so it becomes a true iPod alternative...

The Siemens MMC implementation in the SX1 is pretty solid generally (what with hot-swapping and slot-based before their rivals implemented), its a good deal better than some of the other MMC-based phones from other manufacturers.

Either ways, we do offer a full-refund (for first 14 days) for our customers to test out the performance of our cards, and beyond that, they all carry a 5 year manufacturers warranty.

hope that helps.

We can verify that the 1Gb MMC works well in the SX1. Now you can squeeze about 30 albums of MP3 files (112kbps). (or much more on Ogg or other formats).

Only thing to bear in mind to maintain your sanity  , make sure you buy (or own ) a fast (USB2) memory card reader for transferring all that content to the card.

The other methods of transferring content to your SX1 (Siemens USB data cable, bluetooth, IrDA) will all drive you mad when you want to send 980 megabytes worth of music..!

NB.

When hot-swapping the card out of your SX1 (and from your PC for that matter), always remember to flush the MMC connection by calling the [Swap Memory Card] function from the Memory menu on the phone. This makes sure all SX1 apps are disengaged before the MMC is extracted.

The same disengagement can be done on your PC, by right-clicking on the [Removable Drive] icon of your memory card in Windows Explorer and selecting [Eject].
