Posted 6/30/2005 1:11 AM | | | The Sony K750i, W800 and D750i are internally the same piece of hardware, with a different styling/slant on the outside. The K750i is sleek and black, and beginning to sell in big numbers here in the UK; probably seen it being heavily advertised. The W800 is the Walkman-styled Orange mobile (it comes with a 512MB supplied), not as common on the steet yet. The D750i is a grey style that is available exclusively through T-Mobile, and has some Operator-specific jukebox functionality built-in. Would be great to get any feedback from owners on the relative merits between the 3 styles.. useful for any prospective buyers out there. Watch out for a small review and how to from us, covering all the essentials on the K750i family such as loading up your music onto your MS PRO DUO card, and video clips and nice games for the phone. NB. As well as SanDisk 1GB Memory Stick PRO DUO cards for the SE K750i / D750i / W800, we are receiving a very limited number of 2GB PRO DUO cards, for those who insist on having the very best for their mobile or Sony PSP for that matter (and the most room for their music and video ). We will also be finally taking delivery on Sony-branded 1GB PRO DUO this week, about 2 months late Sony, but better late than never Check out the range of compatible Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick PRO Duo we stock from both Sony and Sandisk for the K750i family: MS PRO DUO Memory Cards for Sony Ericsson K750i / W800 / D750i mobile phones Also, look out for the option of MS DUO Reader, discounted with the memory, as these are very handy for accelerated loading of your music/games/video to your memory card from your desktop PC or laptop. I hope that keeps you K750i owners out there satisfied . Cheers

| Posted 10/6/2005 8:47 PM | | | The sandisk memory stick duo MOBY MOBILE sells seems to be cuasing me problems, the only way to get the card reader to recognise the ms duo is to format the ms duo in the k750i first. The card reader recognises it then ok and allows me to drag and drop files ok. When I put the sandisk ms duo into the k750i its ok and plays fine, HOWEVER when i want to add more files by removing from the k750i and putting it back in the card reader it SIMPLY wont recognise it again, I have to reformat the sandisk, LOSING ALL data and start again . VERY FRUSTRATING! It dont happen with the sony branded 64mb ms duo! |

if you believe your card is faulty then we can take a look at it for you.
As the largest manufacturer in the world, and one with some of the highest quality control standards, SanDisk cards do tend to be very reliable. But of course, like all technical products, there are the occasional faulty one in a batch.
It might also be worth looking at the card reader.
The only other issue possibly is with your W800i.. if you had a friend who had with a 1GB card who will let you try it in your W800i phone, and see if it does the same thing, that is another way to find where the problem might be.
If you think it might be the card or the reader, and you would like to pursue a return/replacement, please email returns @ mobymemory.com and include your order details, and you will be sent instructions.
Apologies for the inconvenience. We dont leave our customers to it when they have a problem, and always do our best to get our customers working properly with our memory products.
Yours sincerely,

| Posted 10/7/2005 10:04 AM | | | Thanks its been sorted now! I took your advice and bought the MS Pro Card Reader you state when buying the 1gb ms duo as the one that is best!.............COOL! My existing usb 2 card reader would only add more filesto the ms duo once it had been recently formated in the k750! ok but time consumming as if you had a load of stuff on there already it all had to be wiped the new file added and the whole lot reloaded onto the card! Great service from Moby Mobile! I now have a 1gb usb pen driver as well! alls well.............Thanks again! ade |
| Posted 10/8/2005 1:08 AM | | | Yep,
Our new PRO DUO pen-drive card readers are great for that. Excellent for loading up your music, video and games much more quickly than any other method, and you can use it as a pen drive between computers as well.. And super handy for Sony PSP owners too.
Glad you got it sorted and for reporting back to us.
Cheers

| Posted 10/20/2005 11:09 AM | | | | has the 2GB cards been tried and tested on the SE w800i? I've seen various specs saying that the phone will only support up to and including 1GB cards. |
| Posted 10/20/2005 4:27 PM | | | | Posted 3/7/2006 11:39 AM | | | so your saying the 'SanDisk 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo' WONT work in the W800i ?? How about the PSP? |
| Posted 3/10/2006 3:43 AM | | | well i have the 2GB sandisk card and it works fine with this phone
although it was a week late from you guys |
| Posted 3/28/2006 12:46 PM | | | Do you know if it's the same problem for the D750i? I checked the advice given to Ade and did the same on my D750i but the phone still doesn't recognise the card I got the 2gb card last week and I still have to make do with the 64mb card that came with the phone as formatting the 2gb card in the D750i didn't help. I also noticed that even the phone camera doesn't recognise the card as it says 'Memory stick not available' o.s.l.t. when the cover is opened. Please help!!
