The 2GB MMCmobile will be with us by the end of the month we hope. just a delay with controller shortages at the moment.

it is likely to be at a fair premium to the price of 2 x 1GB MMcmobile, especially after the recent price drops on 1GB and 512MB.

Again, same as our 1GB MMcmobile, the 2GB MMCmobile card will be based on a high quality SLC (single layer construction) chip that reaches the performance levels of the MMCA 4.1 specification, with read speeds in excess of 10MB per second possible (and write speeds not far behind).

Yours sincerely.

With no response to this post or my subsequent email in a month, I've now bought a 2GB Kingston DV RS-MMC from xxx

Thanks.

my apologies for the delayed response. we were hoping to respond with a positive announcement on the matter, hence the delay. but we have still not secured a confirmed date.

we are not willing to support kingston product, and still do hope to bring an alternative shortly.

yours sincerely,

What's wrong with it? I need a 2gb card and I see them on the net quite often now. I can wait for some other brand if there's a good reason though...

from a business perspective, we like to keep the number of returns from customers to a minimum and our experience with certain manufacturers is of a higher rate of returns, which creates a higher administrative burden, and more hassle all round.

it is a business decision by us not to promote a certain manufacturer but obviously, there are plenty of other retailers that will be happy to do so.

yours sincerely,
