Our 4GB miniSd memory cards are compatible with the Nokia E61.

I have been using for the last 3weeks.. No problems so far apart from i managed to corrupt it once by hot-swapping the card a bit too vigorously the one time, and had to reformat.

Other than that it has performed well. Make sure the card is formatted to FAT32 for best performance.

Cheers

"Make sure the card is formatted to FAT32 for best performance."
Best performance or only way?
Because the FAT format reach the limit on 2Gb...
It´s because of that, I still don´t know exactly wich is the file format of my N-Gage and the 4gb MMC card inside. Must be FAT32???

I cannot get my new 4GB MiniSD to work with my E61 yet. I have an RM-89 with 2.0618.06.05
In the Memory app I just see "(no memory card inserted)".

The MiniSD card works fine with my PC and the moby memory minisd-to-USB stick.

I tried formatting it with default block sizes and that didn't appear to help.

Switching off and rebooting didn't appear to help either.

I would be delighted to solve this problem but otherwise I think that other buyers should beware. One other person in my company has the same problem.

I also have an E61 and the 4GB card will not work in my phone, I'm returning it for a 2GB card.

The card was formatted FAT32 (is there any other option?) and the phone doesn't even recognise that it is inserted. Mobymemory have been helpful and just told me to return the card for an alternative.

I ordered a 4GB mini-SD card for my E70.
It was shown as a supported card at http://www.mobymemory.com/E70-memory-cards.asp

The E70 works with a FAT32-formatted 2GB card so I expected it would work with the 4GB card.

I formatted the card using a USB adapter - so the 4GB card is presumably OK, but when inserted in the phone, it says "No Memory Card Inserted".

If the webmaster got a 4GB card to work in the E61, was there any special trick?

4GB would be really useful but if 2GB is the max supported size I'll have to exchange the card.

Have an E61 and attempted to use a 4Gb mini SD Card. First error message was "corrupt card", so I attempted to reformat it in the phone, which it would not do.

Second step was to format it as FAT32 on my Windows XP PC, worked perfectly... put it in the phone and same error message "corrupt card". Put it back into my PC reformatted it again as FAT32 and added files to it, read files no problem..... put it back into the E61... "corrupt card" message again....

Somehow looking at the comments made here, I cannot see that many people have got a 4Gb card to work in an E61.

I've since ordered a 1Gb card as I honestly don't believe that the E61 can handle anything larger in capacity and I feel it is a waste of time and effort in trying to push the limits with a 2Gb and a 4Gb mini SD card.

I have two 2GB Mini-SD card from "MyMemory". Both worked fine until recently.
Then I started getting problems with file manager opening files, it hung, and the whole card became unreadable. I am back to using the 64MB Nokia card shipped with the phone.
I think next I will try a 1GB card, just to see if that works longer term.
Not sure if this is a card error, or a bug in the firmware causing it.

Hi,

Do NOT waste your time with the miniSD 4GB card. Why? Simple, go to Sandisk or Transcend or any other serious memory makers and you will see not reference to 4GB miniSD card (unless you go to SDHC, which is not the case). In few words, no SDHC miniSD card exist!. What these guys are selling is a well done fake that works for weeks (if you are lucky) and after that you will see corrupted and missing directories.

Thinking on refund or replace the card with MobyMemory? Forget it ! I bought mine, tested it, worked for 3 weeks, had problems as missing files and directories, reformatted FAT32 and the same. I did try to replace it, I sent it via regular mail from London to London and they say they never receive it. The post company ensured me that the card was delivered. I guess is easier for MobyMemory saying they didn't receive it rather than asumeing that they sell fake products. The funny thing is that they keep selling it. Incredible!

Again, wait until some well knows brand (Sandisk, Transcend, Kingstone, etc) comes up with a real non SDHC miniSD 4GB card or just try to update you device for a compliant SD 2.0 (SDHC).

Cheers!

Luis C
