iTech Clip Bluetooth does not pair with Nokia 6230

My Nokia 6230 does not find my iTech Bluetooth Headset.

The headset is turned on and the LED is flashing orange/green. Bluetooth on my 6230 is activated but when searching for a bluetooth device, the 6230 cannot find the headset.

Any ideas?

Bluetooth (SiRF STAR III) GPS Receiver (Nokia N80)

I have paired the Bluetooth (SiRF STAR III) GPS Receiver with my Nokia N80, it works ok and then at 5 minute intervals tom tom says no gps signal and after about 1 minute it works again, this will happened around 20 times on my trip to manchester and also around 3 times on my 20 min trip to work, can you help please?

This came with CD containing BlueSoleil software 2.1.3.0 Release 060429 (not IVT 1,6 Software as advertised on package) to

I followed instructions to install and run the software. It seems to work to start with. However, after a few minutes the BlueSoleil software gives a message that the software is a "pirate" copy (!) and will only run in demo mode (max 5Mb transfer).

Obviously, this means the BT dongle is not usable.

Help!

7 June: Would someone at MobyMemory care to comment. I have not received a reply to my email to Customer Services after two weeks. Will you send me compatible software, fix the software license issue or give a refund?

SiRD STAR III Bluetooth GPS

Hi,

I've tried calling you sales and tech support lines this morning but no one seems to want to pick up the phone, it just keeps going to the answer phone. I've also tried emailing support@mobymemory.com with no answers so far so i thought i'd try here.

I ordered one of your SiRD STAR III GPS receivers along with some memory just over a week ago

No problems with the memory and the GPS Device has been working fantastic, Very quick to get GPS Lock, and no issues with Bluetooth/Phone/Software.

At least that was until yesterday.

The Device still gets satellite lock ( Red Flashing LED ) and when I start my GPS software ( TrakPal or Pathfinder ) the blue LED starts flashing rapidly indicating Successful Bluetooth communications.

However both pieces of software indicate a bad GPS data stream, logging the NMEA GPS data sentences to a file, shows that the data is pure garbage, ive tried removing the device, and re making the Bluetooth partnership several times and also tried different com ports and baud rates ( normally com 8, 4800 baud ), but nothing seems to work. I've removed the battery for 30 mins then tried again but that doesn't seem to work either.

The device appears to be working fine ( gets sat lock and establishes Bluetooth coms ok ) except that its talking gibberish, I've also tried using WinFastCE GPS monitor which also confirms that the device is sending rubbish.

I'm pretty sure that something has gone haywire with the device and that it will need to be returned.

I'd like to try and move on this as quickly as possible as we are back out on track this Thursday and would like to use TrakPAL with the GPS.

Does anyone know whether i can use 2 usb dongles (1 for pc and 1 for printer) to print. If pairing was an issue, could I pair the devices and then swap them to pair again, then simply place 1 in the printer and print that way?

HOWTO : To install your USB Bluetooth Dongle Software

Requirements: Air2U USB Bluetooth Class I/II dongle as supplied by MobyMemory

O/S: Windows ME / XP SP1 or earlier

(For Windows XP SP2, do not install any drivers, just plug-and-play..)

A USB Bluetooth Dongle is a wireless device. Bluetooth allow you to connect your phone (or another device) to the PC by establishing a wireless network (bit like WiFi).

The advantage of Bluetooth is that you can make a wireless connection quickly and automatically (when configured) to your mobile phone, and transfer files between your PC and mobile memory card. Great for moving small files (like photos, screenshots, screensavers, small games etc) quckly and with no wires. Transfer speed performance is not as fast as a USB2 Card reader, or a mobile-supplied USB cable .

Lets start by installing the driver software for your Bluetooth USB Dongle (Class I or Class II).

NB. Do not plug your USB Bluetooth adapter into your PC yet (this can sometimes cause problems with plug-and-play on Windows systems). we will tell you when to plug it in later on.

1.Step: Insert the USB Bluetooth software CD to CD-Rom drive that was supplied by us with your adapter. The software will automatically begin.

2.Step: Click the Genenric 1.4.3.4 option (You can read the other guides supplied with the software first if you wish).

Read the Licence Agreement, than accept the terms of licence agreement, and press NEXT.

3.Step:If you want to select another location where the software will be installed click CHANGE if not than click on NEXT.

4.Step: You are ready to install new software, to continue click INSTALL.

5.Step: Now the installatin process begin. Wait while till files copied to your computer.

6.Step: Now you can plug your bluetooth adapter into the USB port of your PC.

Your computer should recognize the new hardware (and display this message in XP) when it is plugged in.

7.Step: You can access the Bluetooth features on your computer.To continue press NEXT.

8.Step: Now you have to choose Computer name and computer type. When it's done press Next.

9.Step: Wizard configure Bluetooth service. To continue press NEXT.

10.Step: Here you cen configure your services that your computer will offer.

11.Step: If you have another blueetooth device click NEXT otherwise Click Skip.

12.Step: Finally you have done your installation successfuly.Your Bluetooth Dongle is ready to be use.To finish click FINISH.

Your Bluetooth Dongle can be setup and controlled though your " My Bluetooth Places. My bluetooth Places allow you to search for other devices, explore yours or another users files.

We will use this in a series of articles that deal with connecting your specific mobile up to your bluetooth aware PC !

file tranfers stalling

I've just received my USB dongle bundled with a 1GB MMC to connect my pc with my nokia 6600, and Im having problems with bluetooth file transfers.

Basically no matter what method I try the transfer will start and then freeze at the point shown in thie link below.

After sitting for a while my phone will then drop the connection and I'm left with that message on my screen until I close it.

I've tried right clicking and send to, right clicking the bluetooth icon and selecting obex file transfer, and also transferring from within pc suite, but nothing works. It doesn't matter how big or small the file is, it just won't send past the first few bars on the "copying" screen.

I'm using XP Pro SP1, and the widcomm drivers that came on the cd with the dongle.

Also, I can send files *to* the pc fine, just not receive them. I can, however, receive files from my houesmate's pc via bluetooth...

Any help greatly appreciated

can anyone help me i just bought a blue tooth adaptor i have installed it correctly but when i try to connect phone to bluetooth it asks me for a password BLETOOTH IS WIDCOMM BLUETOOTH VER1.1 i have tried to find out how to get password without any joy please can anyone help

Hello there,

A few weeks ago, I ordered a 512MB MMC, and a Bluetooth Dongle. Today, I received my new Nokia 6230. The problem is, I can't get it working with Bluetooth on my PC.

I've installed the dongle on the computer twice, to make sure I didn't made any mistake in this part. After restarting my computer (after the installation), there already is a problem: the manual suggests, when I click on the desktop-icon "My Bluetooth Places", I should get a guide to complete the installation, and set some settings. But instead, when I click on it, nothing happens. Well, I thought, let's see what happens when I let my 6230 connect to the computer.

So, I activate Bluetooth on the 6230, and let it search for other devices. The phone is able to find my computer, and then, I let it connect. My computer immediately reports that a bluetooth-device is trying to connect, and asks me if I want to make a connection. At the same moment my telephone is asking for a password (which i've never set anyware, so I'm just trying "0000"). The computer asks for a specified key, and I also have no idea what this key could be, so I also try "0000". After clicking next, the computer starts installing, but comes with a failure, that there is nog bluetooth device.

Does anyone have any idea what this problem possibly could be? I'm sorry for my bad English, hope you understand my problem
