Today, that has all changed. All manufacturers of digital cameras offer much higher, in fact, nearly unlimited numbers of pictures to be stored on standardized media like SmartMedia, Memory Sticks and CompactFlash cards, to name a few. Images stored on this type of media are portable, and can be read in standard readers that are available everywhere.

Unlike their predecessors that used film, new cameras allow images to be erased, and the space on the media reused. The media can also be bulk erased or formatted, removing any images from the storage media. Imagine babys first steps or a childs wedding being lost forever because someone pressed the wrong button! That is where PHOTORECOVERY for Digital Media comes to the rescue.

PHOTORECOVERY is an easy to use application and is compatible with Memory Sticks, SmartMedia, CompactFlash, Floppy Disks and most other forms of digital media. Simply insert your digital media into the reader, and run PHOTORECOVERY on the media, and then save the pictures off to another location. There is no easier way to salvage those once in a lifetime moments you thought were lost forever.

More info at PHOTORECOVERY for Mac

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Nikon D50 and 4GB SD

Hi,

Does anybody know if the 4GB Hi-Speed 150X SD MobyMemory card works in a Nikon D50?

Your help or advice will be most appreciated.
Write speed of 4GB 150x SD card

http://www.mobymemory.com/proddetail.asp?prod=SD%5FMOBYMEMORY%5F4096%5F001

It specifies the read speed, but not the write speed. You are welcome to organise a return and switch capacity up to a single 2GB or 2 different 1GB SD when they come back in stock.

more to follow later in week when i test the camera properly

cheers

1GB 150x MobyMemory SD card and Panasonic TZ1

Hi,

Just purchased a new Panasonic TZ1 camera and ordered 2 SD cards (MobyMemory branded 1GB 150x) which arrived a couple of days ago (good price and very efficient delivery!).

Regrettably, on testing, I find that when I use either of the cards in the new camera I get frequent 'read errors', most of which are persistent (i.e. do not recover and, if I look at the cards with my PC card reader show up as corrupted files). In one case, the entire card became unreadable and I lost around 20 photos (fortunately only test shots).

If I use and old shop-bought 256MB SD card which I happened to have lying around spare, it behaves faultlessly so I have to conclude that it looks like there may be a compatibility problem between the MobyMemory cards and the camera. Anyone else found this?

Regards
e.

Problems With Pentax Optio 555

I just bought a 4GB SD card which your web site says is compatible with Pentax Optio, but I'm wondering how accurate that is.

When I put the card in the camera it said "memory card not formatted".

When trying to format the card it spends several minutes with the "formatting" message displayed until eventually something goes wrong and it says "card error".

I've tried formatting the card using a USB card reader, but the camera still says "card not formatted".

I have also tried the card in an O2 XDA IIs. This will list the files stored on the card in File Explorer, but seems unable to open any of them. Again your web site states that this card is compatible with XDA IIs.

2GB SD card in Canon Ixus 750

Hi there,

I just bought a new 2GB integral high speed SD card to put in my Canon ixus 750. As soon as I put it in the camera I got a "memory card error" message, and the format option on the set up menu of the camera is grayed out. Any suggestions? I don't really need a card reader as I simply connect the camera to my computer to download the photos off it. Or do I need one just to reformat the card?
Cheers,

Deano.

Nikon coolpix 7900 and Titanium SD card

Hi,

I am about to purchase a Nikon Coolpix 7900 digital camera and want to buy a large SD card to go with it. I have looked on the Nikon site and can not see any details of what SD cards are supported and what aren't. I have some questions in relation to the camera:

1. Will the Nikon Coolpix 7900 support a SD card that is 2GB in size?

2. Will the Nikon Coolpix 7900 support thw 155X Kingmax Titanium SD card?

3. I do not really care hot long it takes to download my images to the computer, so will I see any benefit at all using the Titanium SD card compared to an ordinary SD card when using the camera to take photo's?

4. Not related to the camera I have a dell inspiron 9200 which has an inbuilt SD card reader does know if this will read the large fast carda?

Thanks

PROBLEM FORMATTING A 1G MMC FOR AN KODAK EASYSHARE CX6200

Hi there is any one out there that can help?

i have bought a 1G mmc make: twinMOS but when i put it in my camera it says i must format the card but the camera only stays on for 30 seconds and switches off so i cant format it, does any one know how i can format it to work on this type of camera???

PLEASE PLEASE HELP BEFORE I GO AND BY A APS CAMERA

1Gb KingMax memory with Casio digital camera...

Anyone know if there are any compatibility problems with the 1Gb KingMax SD card and the Casio EX-Z40?
Cheers

Minolta G400 - with MobyMemory MMC

One of our stock company cameras for taking screenshots, and used with various MobyMemory MMC (and also Kingmax SD cards), from 128MB up to 1GB with no problems.

Minolta DiMage Z3 - with MobyMemory MMC

The DiMage Z3 works fine with our MobyMemory MMC, having used it for a few months now.

Nice camera, and great quality movie mode for a camera.
