Our USB2 card readers are plug and play in Windows XP. Drivers required for Win 98 and 2000.

Many thanks for your help, i guess the way to format larger cards would be in a card reader, yes? Do you have to install software for that or do all drives have the format facility in a right click menu?

hi gadget buster,

we dont carry a 3230 yet in our test labs. As the phone is beginning to become more popular now, we will get hold and do the standard compatibility photos and tests.

The important point is that the 3230 does work with standard RS MMC for sure. We have sold too many to 3230 owners, and it has been verified by friendly testers for us. The 3230 actually operates its memory at 3v (not 1.8v) which is why standard RS MMC, and RS DV MMC (and MMCMObile) will all work fine.

however, it may be that the phone has some issues in its firmware with bigger RS MMC, esp on formatting side. i would suggest never formatting memory cards from within the phone itself.

Hi all,

I'm still so lost, I have asked a few people and I get 50% saying yes to dual voltage and the rest saying no. Can you guarantee that a 1GB rs mmc (for example) will work in a Nokia 3230? If I purchase one and it does not would you do a refund? In your listing for the dv and normal rs mcc cards you say that the 3230 can accept both, on the back of the dual voltage cards they have many more conducting stripes than that of the normal rs mcc cards. Looking inside my phone it has the corresponding terminals in there for the normal rs mcc cards and therefore the extra conducting strips on the dual voltage card would not actually be touch anything? (is that a bit waffly or what?)

So basically has anyone at Moby actually tried putting one of these cards in a 3230? or any one else reading this thread? If so please put us all out of our misery and tell us if they work??
