Problem with write protections on MMC

I am having problems in deleting/removing the write protection on my sandisk 1GB new mmc. I hav been to
many forums on the internet and gone to official sites but whatever is there never works i hav tried the knob on the side turned it both ways but still doesnt work. The first time i inserted it into my phone it never asked me to format it but i did and it started to work for a while then right after i re-named it it stopped working and now it say its write protected so i cant put music or anything else on it i hav spent the last 3-4 hours trying different sites and doing my best to fix it but nothing seems to work!!Pkease help me i would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GRATEFULL!!!!!! Thanks!!!

Sandisk 1gb micro-sd not working

hi, i bought a 1gb memory card from here about 2 months ago, it has been working fine for all that time, but today something has gone wrong, when i put it in my phone it taeks about 5 or ten seconds to recognize the card and then when i try to access it with my phone it says "not allowed" and when it is plugged into my computer it isnt recognized at all. when i take it out of either my computer or my phone it is really really hot, does anyone know what i can do to fix this? i dont really want to send it back as i have a lot of pictures and videos on there that cant be replaced and i dont want to lose them. thanks

Unfortunately the Samsung D600 is not compatible with 2GB capacity microSD memory cards.

May be a firmware fix can address the problem in the future, but for now, please make sure to only purchase microSD memory up to a max of 1GB capacity for your Samsung d600.

sandisk 2gb wont work needs formatting??

bought a 2gb sandisk micro sd card for my d600, can put stuff onto it but when in the fone i try to go onto it and it says "format?" i press yes then i says error! wtf is goin on any 1 any advise??

have had my samsung d600 for about a month and decided to buy a memory card for it.

my music files are stored on windows media player so tried to convert them to mp3 but had a message come up to say they were write protected.

so i dowloaded freeRIP and audio convertor to rip them to mp3 files.

i then connected the memory card and card adapter to the card reader and sent them to the memory card.

this was working fine up until last night. i'd managed to copy about 100 songs to the memory card so i inserted the card into the phone to check that the songs had copied ok.

i had various files in each music, sounds and other files, all of which did not make sense. they were in foreign or symbol form, and all came up unsupported file format and the date modified ranged from 1980-2080?? really wierd. cannot delete any of them. don't know what to do.

does this sound as though the memory card may be corrupted some how?

if so please can someone help and let me know what to do PLEASE

I currently have a Nokia N70 which has a RS DV MMC memory card. Would you be able to tell me if this would be compatible with the Samsung D600 - I realise it uses a MicroSD Transflash but do not know enough about it to know if these 2 memory cards would be compatible with the D600.

Downloading MPEG onto my D600, im puzzled

Hi people.

Ok this may be a little off topic but i need some serious help downloading MPEG files onto my D600,

i have no idea whats goin on ! First of all i have some MPEGs on my laptop and i can sucsessfully transfer them onto my phone, but i know that the file format MPEG wont work and that i need to convert it to gp3 format, I have downloaded several converters only to find that they are in japanese or for some other reason they wont work, Can someone help me sucsessfully convert MPEGs (using freely downloadable software) and help me get these onto my phone !?!?!

I love my D600, it is the best phone i have ever had, and if i can do this i will be so happy.

i picked up a d600 today and grabbed a 512 card with it, with the plans to throw a few tv shows on for the train rides to university.
the phone seems to read the new card no worries, but the (horrible) samsung software doesn't seem to be able to transfer data straight to the card.
is there anyway to do what i want w/o the memory reader do-wackys that i've seen throughout this site?

Bluetooth headset

I recently bought the simple bluetooth headset for £18 from you guys, to use with my Samsung D600. (also bought the 512meg µSDcard, and the USB reader, both worked great!)

I managed to connect it, and it works when I receive calls, and make calls. What doesn't work tho, is listening to music with the headset. Thats why I got the 512meg card, to fill the phone up with music, and listen on it thru my new headset. The only option I find is "play via A/V-headset", and that doesn't work with this headset. What am I supposed to do!?!?

Hello there i have recenlty purchased the Samsung D600e. And wish to increase the memory using the transflash slot. However there are a few questions i have.

1) i wish to use 512Mb card, as meantined in your forums, the 1gig wont be out for a while. From reading the previous posts, its clear that the micro SD is by far the quicker and better option. however as it stand none are in stock. Could you please give a estimated time that these might be in?

2) Am i being dim, or can i not order one of your "MobyMemory 512mb miniSD Memory Card" wont this work in the D600e?? priced at 25.99??? is there a difference between the micro and mini SD??

Im thinking to buy a micro sd memorycard (512 mb) for my samsung d600 at mobymemory.com. But i first would like the answer to 2 questions:

1. I'm living in the Netherlands, so i wondered IF i can order a product at mobymemory.com and how long it takes to send it to me.

2. I also wondered if you knew a program to convert .avi files into mp4 files i'd prefer a free program . It seems that the samsung convertion program doesnt work with me (converted mp4 file stops after a while with playing).

hi, i recently bought a usb2 micro sd reader / flash pen drive with a 512mb mirco sd i put the 512mb micro sd in the pendrive and then connect it to the usb2.0 on my pc. it then detects it as a removable mass storage device, when i go to my computer and clikc on it (drive f nothing happens. and 'My computer' stops responding, so i tried wating for ages and it finally did something different it said format drive f. so i did then error windows cannot format removable F: ..... plz help ( the phone reads the memory fine)

D600 file help

I have recently acquired a D600 and I am very impressed, I have also recently acquired a 512mb Sandisk micro card & moby usb2 pen reader. These are great. Unfortunately I cannot transfer anything from my PC to phone although I can from phone to PC.

When I try to open things on my phone, a message appears "Unsupported file format" (especially mp3)

I don't know if it is just me being technically illiterate or if I need to buy certain software for the file exchange.

Also, Vodafone do not have the configuration details to set up the D600 for their own mail accounts, would you know if it is the same as the D500 or are new configuration instructions needed.

Can you help ???
