i have just brought  512 RS MMC for Nokia 7610.  Before using the memory card do you have to format it? how do you do this?

Try it first, hopefully it wont need formatting. We send out our cards formatted ready for us. Occasionally though, some phones are not happy with it and a card will need formatting again.

If it does, do you have one of our card readers.,? If so, insert it, and connect to your PC, and then format it from there (follow our guides on this in the Repairing Corrupted memory Cards forum:

If you do not have one of our readers, try a friend who has a modern USB2 card reader.

Failing this, then try formatting from your phone.

Finally, still if you have no luck, then contact us again, and we will organise a solution. including checking your card, and issuing a replacement if necessary.
