Posted 6/23/2005 10:04 AM | | | Ok,, so i just purchased a 3230 and got myself a 512 rs-mmc off Ebay(i know so stupid!). It seemed to work fine at the start but it keeps on closing my apps that run off the card and sometimes will hang my phone when it rings with a ringtone from the card.
As you can imagine this is really annoying as it is such an intermittent problem. So I'm thinking the card is just downright dodgy and thinking of getting a new one. However I'm not 100% sure that its the card or just the phone having problems with such a large memory card in there.
I guess what I am trying to get at is if I do get one from you guys. Have you heard of anything similar with your cards? what happens if I get the same problem? what are my options then? |
| Posted 6/23/2005 1:27 PM | | | dear sanpdragon, because we specialise in memory cards for just mobile phone use, we make sure we source cards with the best compatibility we can find for use in mobiles, and we certify their use with the mobile phones listed against them on our website product pages. given the nature of flash memory and phones, this does not mean that we can get a 100% success rate every time, but the point is, we get as close as we possibly can to that, and then give customers excellent support and a swap-out replacement policy if you do have an issue with your mobile. We also provide a range of memory card readers that we certify for us with our memory cards; this is an important point as many older card readers, and built-in readers inside laptops, printers and desktops cannot handle the bigger memory cards correctly.. Our overalll returns rate i know is enviously low for this industry, and that is based upon us specialising in specific usage for the mobiles we certify against, and being very picky about the cards we source and retail to our customers. This is not the case for a lot of the flash memory retailers, who are primarily geared to lowest price, and so where reliability and returns is less of a worry for their bottom-line and business model (ebay comes to mind on that, esp overseas sellers!). The Nokia 3230 is perfectly capable of handling 512MB RS-MMC cards, and our 1GB RS-MMC works nicely with it too If you did have a problem, every customer has the right to a full refund wuthin 14-days of purchase, and to a replacement from stock if you have a physical fault in your card after that, for 5yrs of warranty. Hope that helps Cheers
