I have had the same problem. My 256 gb sony duo stick works fine in the pc but my new 1 gb card that I bought from moby memory does not work at all in the card reader. I insert the stick into the pc with the correct sony duo adapter, and at first it recognises the drive. But when I try to put any mp3 files into the MP3 folder, the computer stops responding and freezes every time. Usually I have to reboot the PC because it totally screw up at this point. After restarting the PC does not recognise the stick at all as if it has been corrupted. I then have to reformat the stick in the phone before the PC can work with it again. The only way I can get music onto the stick is by using the USB cable; and that it not without its problems. I can add songs to it fine at first, but if I then decide to add some more songs to it later the PC will not recognise it until i reformat it again, which means losing all my stored music.

This is all extremely frustrating. Please can we have an answer to these problems from the good people at Moby, as I see from this forum that alot of queries have gone unanswered. I bought a MMC card from you for my 6230 a year ago and was very impressed the support for it.However,  support for the Ericsson K750i seems to be lacking.

what you may find is that the reader (is it a Memory Stick reader built into the PC) or separate reader with MEmory stick slot..? is not able to handle the Pro Duo in 1GB capacity..

The memory stick formats originally got released in 16mb-128MB capacities, and then the PRO, and PRO DUO range has taken that capacity up to 2GB and beyond now.

im not sure this is your problem, but if you can verify what reader you are using for this transfer it will help in the support.

cheers

Hi webmaster

thanks for the reply. Sorry for delay in reply but have been on hols. The card reader built into the PC is a Medion Flash XL MS USB device (that is the only info I can find on it). I have to put the 1GB card into a sony memory stick duo adapter to insert it into the Memory Stick slot. If the card reader cannot handle the 1GB card, what can I do? Will one of the Moby memory card readers work better?

thanks Sean

P.S it was me that posted the original under jgdixon

In case anyone else is having the same problem as I was, I have just bought a Moby memory card reader, and the 1gb card works fine in it. This proves that it was the card reader built into my pc that was causing the problems as it could not handle the 1gb card.

Thanks for putting me on the right track webmaster, although your support did sort of fag out half way
