| | | According to the UK Motorola site the largest size trans flash memory supported is 512mb (Link below). Do we know whether the 1gb card from SanDisk SDSDQ-1024 (labelled as MicroSD, Link below) will operate in the phone?

I suspect this is the case with the Motorola SLVR L7, and that it should function fine with the new 1GB microSD cards, when they finally come out. The listed maximum capacity is normally a reflection of the maximum capacity tested with the phone at the phone's general release, when the specifications are written.
ps. We have heard that, contrary to initial hopes, the new 1GB microSD format cards will not be shipping out until early March. however, that information is more conjecture at this stage than anything else, as SanDisk tend to keep a very tight control on information for new releases.

We strongly recommend taking the opportunity to grab them whilst they are available. (Based upon experience with the 512MB capacity for the first month or so.)
