I have Nokia N70 with Tom Tom mobile on a 256mb memory card (brand unknown)that is working fine.
My problem is that I want to transfer the data onto a 1gb mmc mobile memory card that I purchased from you so that I can have room for other apps/mp3s etc.
After copying the files to the 1gb mmc card I find that Tom Tom is not working.
Any ideas as to how I can get it to work or what I am doing wrong please? |

| | You can't just transfer the files over to the new card, you need to install the software again on your new memory card. You could just install it on your phone memory so when you swap memory cards you will not lose your software.

| | Many thanks for the quick reply. How do I install it onto the memory card or phone? Also if I were to install it onto the phone wouldnt that take up a lot of memory? |

| | If the software was already installed on the phone when you got it, then it will only work with your old memory card. Your right, the software does take up a lot of space and would not fit on the phone memory all tho you could install it on the card them move some folders over to the phone memory.

| | No I got the software with my wifes N70 but she does not require sat nav so I am using it on mine.
I also got a copy of the Tom Tom software on a cd-rom would I be able to use that to put the software onto my 1gb card? If so how is it done please? |

| | | You cant copy tomtom by means of a usb cable you need a card reader/writer trust me it took me loads of emails and day after day trying but once i got a ard reader i did it within mins. You might need the software install file and you can get this and all the instructions from www.tomtom.com/support/index.php this is the link tomtom support sent me enableing me to copy their card onto my own 1gb card |

| | | SORRY forgot to add if you follow the link from the tom tom site it downloads a program to your desktop all you do then is insert your original tomtom card into your reader plug it into your pc then open the program on your desk top follow the prompts and this makes a full back up on your pc (just in case you want to copy it on to other cards !!!!!!) it then asks if you want to restore, change cards in your reader and select yes. it then instantly copies tomtom onto your new card. JOB DONE, you can do this as offten as you like. Its always best to keep a complete back up on your pc incase you loose your phone or have problems with your card. |

| | If you cant find the link goto tomtom.com, select support, on the right side of the pge select downloads, browse down the page select tom tom mobile 5 update (in red) the select which version to download. Thi will give you all the info and programs you need. |
