Hi

Anyone bought the memory stick micro recently?

I bought the 512mb stick, which came today.  Put it in me phone and checked the memory status, its only showing 455mb as free yet there are no files on it at all from what I can see.

Anyone else found this?

Cheers

Tony

Alcofrolic,

all memory cards offer slightly less storage capacity than the rated size. This is due to the way cards rated in bytes available and due to the space consumed by the card format specific functionality. In the case of the "memory stick" format, they do use up more space than say a similarly rated MMC card (512MB MMC would typically have 490MB space availble).

In your case, all Memory Stick Micro M2 cards will be same, as are Memory Stick Pro Duo range.

ps. how are you finding your K800i.? From what we are hearing, it seems to be the fastest selling premium mobile phone in the UK market at the moment.

yours sincerely,

Thanks for that, makes sense.

The phone is really good, the camera is great - very good quality.  The predictive text is quite bizarre (it actually tries to guess the next word you are going to type if you have only used the word once in a sentance before).

Actaully got a couple of normal ringtones on it (I am quite boring and like my phone to ring rather than play songs at me).

The only thing I would like to change about the phone is the stupid lens cover.  A simple slide cover, such as on my previous S700i, would have made the phone thinner, it wouldn't have opened quite so easily (keep turning on the camera by mistake when putting the phone in or taking it out of my pocket), and it would have been less likely to break (have a feeling the cover will catch on something and snap off one day.

Cheers

Tony

I've just purchased the k800i. Really liking it so far. Originally had the w810i but realised after I got it that it didnt support A2DP which is what i wanted, so managed to get it swapped over.

Cameras great.

But anyway point of my post where did you get your m2 card Alcofrolic? Looking for a cheap price somewhere. The one I got offered in the shop ripped was a total rip.

Hi Stuart

I bought it from this site.  After playing around on the net, found this to be a good price.  And I knew delivery was quick as I bought a USB adaprter for my old S700i just after Christmas.

Cheers

You don't need a pen drive for this phone.  I got a USB adapter cable with the phone so I just plug the phone into laptop to move stuff around.  If you want to take the memory stick to a photo shop then you would need the adapter stick which comes with the memory stick micro

Salut,

I just bought a M2 memory card 1G yesterday, but after 15h so i knew that I couldn't be delivered the same day, but I thought I normally rcvd it today but it is not the case. From those who are satisfy with the service, do you think it is normal?

I have a K800i ( i just upgrade my phone 1 week ago) and for the moment I am quite happy with it, just for the headphone, sony ericsson could have done the same has the W810i, now I will have to buy some on internet.

Thanks.
