CAN I USE A 2 OR 4 GIG MINI SD IN MY N73, OR DO I HAVE TO STICK WITH 512MB OR 1GIG AS RECCOMMENDED BY ORANGE?

The 2GB miniSD will be fine, and we believe the 4GB mini-SD should be as well with the Nokia N73, although this has not been tested by ourselves yet on the N73, (it is performing well enough so far with Nokia 6280).

hope this helps.

Hi, I've just bought a Sandisk 2 gb MiniSD disc for my Nokia N73 and the phone will not see the card, it keeps saying no memory card inserted and none of the memory card options are available on the phone. I've put the card in my PC card reader and hey presto it is seen and files are showing on it. Is this a compatibilty issue as the card seems to be fine. The supplier has offered a kingston replacement but I'm worried that I can only use a 1 gb as staed in the manual, I can't see why though. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure that you have inserted the memory card in correctly as it is tricky to tell which side the connectors go on. If the phone had some kind of issue or error with the memory card it wouldn’t give that kind of message, something more like 'error corrupted memory card' or 'non compatible' would appear.

Hi,

Please can you advise when the 4gb version is tested, as I (and probably many others) will be buying one ASAP as along as you confirm it is 100% compatible.

Thanks,

Matt.

I have the same problem on N73 with the 2Gb Mobymemory miniSD card. So I think is some firmware bad function from N73. i go try an Ultra II card and see if it makes any difference.

Try format outside the phone, or see if it works on another device.

I have now purchased a SanDisk 2gb card from elsewhere, inserted it and it worked with no problems at all. Apparently there are fakes about that do not work on all phones and Nokia are particularly temperamental. The part number on my new card that works is:SDSDM 2048, BE06229EN.

I also have a new problem with the N73. I have recently installed a game which was fine, it is installed and works but since then I have experienced the phone shutting down & rebooting when I try to answer calls. It dials out OK and all the features work it is purely only when answering incoming calls. The game is installed on the phone memory so I'm going to delete it and re-instal it on the new memory card to see if that helps. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this with the N73??
