Hi folks, i'm pritty new to all this forum thing, hope you guys and girls can possibly help me.

This may sound really stupid, but I got a Nokia N73 Music Edition recently and put my sim card into it and copied contacts to the phone. When I get a text msg the name does not display, it shows international number +4478 etc I have tried changing the number to +4478 and saving it to contacts but it doesn't work. I've tried dialing the number and then saving etc but still nothing.

Can anyone help me on this ? It would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Dani

You can´t format the card inside the phone? Is always the best way.

Check with NSU tool if the phone have the last firmware inside. If not, do the upgrade. If yes,try that card on another phone. Could be the card.

Hi all

I've read through the posts on memory for the N73 and still dont fully understand why a 4GB card would not work. I have a 2GB card which works perfectly.

I've just bought a 4GB Topram mini sd and it works fine in a card reader and in my friend's pda, but can not be detected when I put it in my N73. My phone has no other problems

I am on V3.0638.0.0.1 firmware.

Is it a firmware problem?

Is it a card problem?

Thanks

Dave

f3-wmp

i see you had no luck with the 4gb card in your N73.

please send an email to returns @ mobymemory.com to organise the return of the card.

We do state that the Nokia N73 is not compatible to 4GB capacity yet. May be a future firmware release will change this situation.

yours sincerely,

N73 only deals with FAT format, and not FAT32 or even FAT 64kb blocks (special format). So for now (and I think for future), N73 only works with 2Gb cards, limit!
