Posted 4/15/2007 9:35 PM | | | Some things that i've found from *my experience* with the Nokia 6230i.
* I had my phone upgraded by the Nokia Service Centre from 03.40 to 03.88.
* Paragon Partition Manager Professional lets you partition and format MMC cards.
I have a 4GB Transcend card and a Nokia 6230i.
When I formatted the MMC card with a FAT32 filesystem and 1 partition, the Nokia 6230i could not read any files from the phone.
So I then created 2 partitions and formatted them with a FAT16 filesystem and the Nokia 6230i can read files on the MMC card however it cannot write to the MMC card via Bluetooth using Windows. I have yet to try with a data cable, although I don't think this work.
My understanding is that the Nokia 6230i can read and WRITE upto 1GB MMC card. With any larger MMC cards, the phone can't write to them so you need to use a USB MMC reader/writer which obviosuly involves taking the MMC card out of the phone, putting it into the reader/writer and replacing it back into the phone, which is a pain in the a**.
Hope that helps. |
